What are the Categories of Herbs?

Categorizing herbs helps the beginning herbalist to better understand how herbs are grouped by the actions, making it easier to decipher their potential uses, and what you could benefit from taking them. You'll be able to further understand when you should use a certain herb. 

Immunity: Herbs for Protection

Immunity is an expression of the body and mind’s homeostasis and represents the interactions between the inner and outer environments. The following immune protecting herbs are known for their ability to protect and strengthen the immune system. They come in handy when you're sick or feeling under the weather. Herbs designated as immuno-modulators modify the immune response. Some herbs are immunostimulants, increasing activity, or suppressants, decreasing activity.

Herbs: Reishi, Ginseng, Eleuthero, Hibiscus, Chaga, Turkey Tail

Herbs for the Liver

Herbs that assist and support overall liver function. Healthy liver function can help with hormonal balance. It assist in keeping the body happy and healthy.
